"Croquet Strategy Books" on CD-ROM and HARDCOPY
Now available: three
USCA 6 Wicket Croquet Strategy Books by Bob Kroeger and Ted Prentis.
These books on CD-ROM or HARDCOPY, are for Beginners
(handicaps 10 and above), Intermediates (6-9) and Advanced (5 and below) are
delivered to the consumer as PDF documents. The end user downloads Adobe
Acrobat Reader from the Internet (available for both PC and Mac),
opens the PDF document and is then
able to read the books on the computer - or FAR PREFERABLY
- PRINT THEM YOURSELF ON A COLOR INKJET PRINTER.
If
you don't want to worry about all this computer stuff you can PURCHASE THE
BOOKS HARDCOPY (pricing
for hardcopy available by contacting the USCA office). The CDs
feature several pages of text and court diagrams with THE BALLS IN COLOR rather
than the normal black/shaded balls with initials. This makes viewing
and understanding the diagrams easy. Each CD-ROM is $29.95 (one has
BEGINNER/INTERMRDIATE and the other has ADVANCED). You can also
purchase one CD-ROM that has all three books for $39.95. There is a
shipping and handling charge, and Florida residents must add 6 1/2%
sales tax.

Bob and Ted's "MASTERING CROQUET SHOTS " (DVD)
covers everything you need to know about croquet shots. We start with the take-off and go through the other key split shots that players must have proficiency with. There are diagrams, animations, and actual on court shots used to help you understand the elements of a successful croquet shot. This project was inspired by us noticing many players in tournaments were having significant problems executing these critical shots.

and Ted's "BREAK PLAY ~ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW" (DVD) focuses on the all important
concepts of break play (making more than one wicket at a time). Bob and Ted leave no stone unturned here with
real life examples of two, three
and four ball breaks in
action. There are actually two videos on this DVD, one with voice described
animations and the other with culled material from their second video Most
Wanted described below.
If you are new to breaks or are currently playing breaks but need refinement,

Everything the beginning croquet player needs to get started in a 2 1/2 hour DVD. This one hour forty minute video focuses in depth on the common problems
aspiring players face - especially those dealing with "deadness", its consequences,

how to attack; three-and four-ball break play; deadness rotation issues;
and end game tactics.
